Darling in the Franxx is an anime series set in the 22nd century where humanity has to survive everyday with fear due to mysterious creatures known as Klaxosaurs. To combat these threats, humans create large mechs called Franxx, which are piloted by pairs of teenage pilots known as Parasites. The story follows Hiro who has lost his ability to pilot Franxx, and Zero Two, a mysterious and half-human half-Klaxosaur girl with animalistic features.
As Hiro forms a deep connection with Zero Two, he regains his piloting abilities and joins a special team of Parasites to fight against the Klaxosaurs. However, as they keep fighting and discover deep and dark truths about their society and the origins of the Klaxosaurs, they uncover secrets that challenge their understanding of themselves and their world.

CHARACTERS OF DARLING IN THE FRANXX
Hiro :
